Patrick’s Day with your preschooler than with a fun preschool craft project! This St. Patrick’s Day preschool craft project is nice because it is a hat that they can wear!
* Construction Paper (Green and White) * Scissors * Glue Stick * Pipe Cleaners for Crafts * Tape * Markers or Crayons |
Directions:
1 - Start by cutting out two strips of paper. I recommend folding a piece of construction paper the long way to make four strips. 2 - Have your child decorate the strips of paper. It is best if they use green crayons or green markers.
3 - Have your child glue the two trips of paper together to create a hat. Before closing up the strips of paper to make a hat-like rim, I recommend sizing it with your child’s head to ensure a perfect fit. 4 - Cut a pipe cleaner in half. I recommend using either a white or green color. 5 - Have your child tape the pipe cleaners on the inside of their hat rim. Glue can also be used, but tape is less messy and quicker.
6 - Cut out four shamrock shapes on green construction paper.
7 - Have your child glue two shamrocks together. When the glue is still wet, slide a pipe cleaner in between and press down. Do this step twice.

8 - Have your child attached their pipe cleaners with the shamrocks to their hat base.
