Should You Send Your Child to a Private Preschool or a
Public Preschool?
Are you the parent of a soon-to-be preschooler?  If you are, have
you already selected a preschool to enroll your child in?  If you have
yet to do so, you will soon find that you have a number of different
options.  Two of your main options involve private preschools and
public preschools.

When it comes to deciding whether you should enroll your child in a
private preschool or a public preschool, there are a number of
important factors that you may want to take into consideration.  One
of those factors is the cost.  In your search for a preschool, you will
likely find that private preschools cost more money to enroll in.  While
you may want the best for your child, you may not have the financial
resources required to send your child to a private preschool.  Of
course it all depends, but some private preschools have been known
to charge three hundred dollars or more a month for enrolment.

Although the cost of sending your child to a private preschool may
seem a little bit overwhelming, you should know that many parents
claim that private preschools are more than worth the costs.  One of
the reasons for that is because private preschools tend to be smaller
in size, when compared to most public preschools.  With a private
preschool, it is likely that your child will get more one-on-one
interaction with their teacher, although it is not always guaranteed.

Many private preschools are focused on a particular topic or issue.
You will likely find that many private preschools are founded on
religion.  If you are religious, you may find comfort in knowing that
your child is being introduced into your religion in a fun and
educational way.

As for public preschools, you will likely find the cost of sending your
child to a public preschool much more affordable than sending them
to a private one. In all honesty, just because public preschoolers are
more affordable, it doesn’t necessarily mean that your child will be
receiving a less than quality preschool education. Depending on where
you reside, you may find that some of your local public preschools are
rated higher than your private preschools.

You may also find that your child develops long lasting friendships by
attending a public preschool.  Although the same can occasionally be
said for private preschools as well. For instance, many towns and
cities in America have public preschools, whereas not all have private
preschools.  By sending your child to a local, public preschool, they
are more likely to be in preschool with other children who will attend
the same elementary school as them, making it easier to develop
lifelong friendships.

The above mentioned factors are just a few of the many that you may
want to take into consideration, when trying to determine whether
you should send your soon-to-be preschooler to a public preschool or
a private preschool. For the best results, you may want to take the
time to examine a number of your local preschools, including private
preschools and public preschools.
