Valentine’s Day Hats: Easy V-Day Crafts for Kids
the things that they make, they will love this Valentine’s Day preschool craft project. This Valentine’s Day preschool craft project is great, as you have so many different options.
What You Will Need: Construction Paper Markers or Crayons Glue Stick Tape Scissors Craft Pipe Cleaners
Directions: (1) Start by cutting out two strips of construction paper. We took a piece of paper and folded it making four rows each. Cut out at least two strips to get started.
(2) Let your child decorate their strips of paper. You may want to give them Valentine’s Day colored markers or crayons and encourage them to theme their hat with hearts or flowers.
(3) When your child is coloring, now is a good time to cut out heart shapes on red or pink construction paper. The number you may need will vary, sets the same size.
(4) Once your child has finished coloring, have them glue the two strips of paper together. For the final end, be sure to size the strip on your child’s head so that their hat will fit properly.
(5) Connect the pipe cleaners to the hat rim. We cut them in half and used tape instead of glue, as my daughter could do it easier and they were more likely hold in place.
(6) Attach the hearts. When doing so, we found it best to put two hearts on each pipe cleaner, as they were more likely to hold. You can use either tape or glue and have as many hearts attached to pipe cleaners as you want.
