Handprint Turkeys: Easy Thanksgiving Crafts for Kids
This Thanksgiving preschool craft project is one that is ideal for children of all ages, although toddlers and preschoolers are likely to have the most fun with it. When you are done with this great Thanksgiving preschool craft project, consider framing the final piece. This is what we did and my daughter loved it!
What You Will Need: * Paper Bag (Construction Paper Will Also Do) * Sheet of Construction Paper with a Thanksgiving Color * Scissors * Glue Stick * Craft Eyes (Optional) * Crayons or Markers
Directions: either on a paper bag or a piece of construction paper. Personally, we chose a paper bag, as the background sort of matches a turkey color.
(2) Cut out the handprint.
(3) Have your child color the handprint. If you are using markers, consider placing a blank sheet of paper underneath to protect your table from getting marker on it. Try to have your child color different fingers different colors. (4) Add eyes. When doing so, the craft eyes that you can buy at most stores are nice, but you can also make your own with a sheet of blank computer paper or white construction paper.
(5) Glue the handprint turkey to the Thanksgiving colored construction paper.
Added Tip: As I mentioned above, we framed our picture. I also added in my own handprint and had my daughter sign the page. This made this fun Thanksgiving preschool craft project much more personal for her.
