| Preschool Leaf People: Easy Crafts for Kids |
| Making preschool leaf people with your child is a fun your child is sure to love. What is nice about doing so is that you have so many options. It is also important to mention that this activity is one that is affordable. |
Leaves Glue Paper Crayons, Markers, or Colored Pencils |
1 - You will want to start by trimming the bottom from all leaves, namely the stems. This makes gluing the leaf to paper easier. 2 – Glue the leaf to the paper. In our home, we use both white glue and glue sticks, as using both serves as extra reinforcement. 3 – Start drawing. Have your child draw arms and legs and possibly even hair on their preschool leaf person or people. |
| Extra Steps for Making Preschool Leaf People In addition to a simple leaf person, have your child glue a number of leaves to one paper. They can make a community of leaf people! Also, have your child draw a background. This background can be scenery items, such as mountains, a school, a home, and so forth. Pictured above, we used the eyes can that can purchased from most craft stores. If you do not have these items, your child can simply draw eyes on their leaf person. For darker leaves, have them draw a set of eyes on a light colored piece of paper and you can cut them out and your child can glue them. |
